Engine issues help asap

getting code 12 MAF sensor the MAF is good and the wires tone out correctly plus my AFC even reads the mass air unit what else could be wrong
engine is 98 s13 blacktop with intake and FMIC as only mods had the problem before i hooked up the AFC as well any suggestions are greatly appriciated

dirty MAF??
melted,frayed or shorted somewhere along the length of the wires??
is it tool close to the turbo??
loose pin in the ecu??
loose solder or connector somewhere??

i have continuity checked the wires they are fine
i know the MAF is fine as we took it form a car that ran right before we took it off

any other suggestions

well its the ecu....or some wiring between the MAF and ecu

Reset the ECU?

ECU has been reset then it gets the same error message again anyone in my area wtih an SR swap that i can test ecu on
