Questions. Sr20det in 89,90 SOHC chaasis what is needed??

Hey, guys. i have aquestion for those who have done SR swap in to a SOHC chassis 240sx. What extra part did u need to get from a DOHC car??
I just finish putting new DOHC KA into a 95 which was pretty much a no biggie. it got the same engine. :jerkit:
I heard that u need throtle cable and a few more things, and search didn't help much. so please don't flame me..

all power steering line, and reservior, s13 dohc throttle cable, sr or dohc tach, ...hmmm that's all I can think of. anyone else?

do i need SR tach?? is it because of the higher RPM?? do i still need PS line if i'm not planning on keeping the PS ?? how about the Heater hoses how hard is it to modify to fit?? I'm sorry about all the questions.. i'm doing it pretty soon and want to be prepared so i don't need to have too much down time.. thanks....C

check sportcompactcar's website, and look in their project silvia page. Everything is detailed there, cause I can't remember everything without looking at it.

You don't need a DOHC throttle cable, you can use the one on the car. You need the SR or KA24DE tach because the signals are different from the KA24E. Heater hoses you can buy at srswap or if you can salvage hoses from both motors you can buy adaptors and use them both. You can use the SOHC PS lines, but have to use SR or KA24DE resevoir.

You dont need the powersteering stuff eigher, the SOHC powersteering lines work fine, just have extra length.

KA24E Throttle Cable works fine.

KA24E PS lines work fine; you just have to bend the lines to reach the other side of the car.

I would go with DOHC PS Lines cus its cleaner....
