Sooo I just got this headunit..BOSS 612UA (http://www.bossaudio.com/auto/car-digital-media-am-fm-in-dash-mp3-usb-sd-aux-612ua/).
Problem is.. it doesn't fit with the stock 240sx bracket.
You'll notice in the pictures of the headunit, theres a metal bracket it comes with. That won't fit (width-wise) with the stock brackets.
Also, without using that metal bracket..theres no screw holes on the side of the unit.
(i also have the stock pocket for the bottom din)

how would you go about making this fit? do i need to purchase some other aftermarket DIN Kit? Please help!

my headunit is currently just sitting in my car without anything holding it in place.

I can't do that otherwise the headunit is going to fall inside the dash and that'll just be a pain cause i would have to keep pulling it back out.
I would like it to be seated so it doesn't move in or out..

anybody have experience with this or would like to give some input??

my din pocket had brackets that hold the radio (but also no screws) and i have the radio sitting where it should be. It was a really tight fit, but its in there and not going anywhere now.

Drill holes on the square bracket and use flat head screws.

I tried doing this but when I try to press a button, the radio will fall through. I guess it's not tight enough to hold it still.

"the square bracket"...you mean the stock brackets? there already are holes.. theres no holes on the head unit. if you mean to drill holes on the head unit..hell no. if you mean the bracket that came with the head unit..well as you will notice in my first post, that bracket doesn't fit.
