Its an early 92' (should have same cams as the 91 right?) SE Black 5-speed. 89,000 miles. Only thing is it doesn't have LSD or Hicas. which is ok, Cause i wasn't sure I wanted hicas anyways.. just more weight.
I told him I'd give him $4,000 I know it seems a kinda high. But he said it was Super clean..
What do you guys think??

Doesn't sound bad... although it seems high (at least from my POV, although my base '92 last year was $3000....) It'll also depend on what else is available and if you think you can wait on a better deal.

He said it was super clean? You have not seen or driven it? Uhm, tell me I misunderstood.

I bought my 91 SE coupe (alloy's, sunroof, HUD, power everything, 100% dealer maintained, 0 accidents, 130K highway miles) for $3300. I consider myself to have gotten a good deal on it, especially since black coupes (what I wanted) were hard to find on the market.
But yours is a 92, with fewer miles... what options are on it?

Hey ka24et, how much did you pay for your fastback? Just wondering what the went for then.

yes.. he "Said" it was super clean.. I also went over just about every part I could think of that is usually worn or broken and asked him and he commented on their condition.. From his comments, it also sounds very clean. He did say there are a few small dings in the doors from Parking lot Bandits Driving SUV's..
options.. Alloys, Moonroof, spoiler, AC, factory cassette player, Car alarm-Keyless entry, PDL, PW, PS, PB, 5-speed, analog gauges. Cloth.. and the power antenna works,,lol
Being an Early model 92'.. he said he pruchased in May of 92' immediately out of college... Would it still have the Cams that are in the 91'??
Also, would you have had to have purchased super hicas to have LSD in the this car?? (hoping maybe it already has LSD)

My parents bought me the car. I know, I'm lucky and spoiled.
It was a good year for my dad. He also bought a 90 300ZX for my brother (a trade in for a 87 supra!), a 90 maxima SE (trade in for a 86 maxima). Needless to say, that dealership really liked my dad.
Because of that they let them have the 240 at a couple hundred dollars above their cost. ~$15,500 out the door. This was for a 1990 240SX with sport package, power and convenience package, no sunroof, no ABS, with 5 miles on the odometer!

congrats sykik, Here in Los Angeles your car would be a good deal. Low mileage 91+ 5 speeds are rare here. anyways to other questions do you have lsd. You can check this two ways do a burnout hahahaha and see if you get two black tire marks on the pavement. If you do want to risk attention then jack up the rear of t the car leaving it out of gear . get a friend have them hold one of the rear wheels as you spin the the other . If it is LSD it will be kinda hard to turn and the other wheel (the one your friend is hold will insist on spinning the same direction. IF it is open it will just freewheel the opposite direction.
Oh yeah and I paid $3900 for my 91 base fastback with 19,144 miles . Yes it was a salvage. It was a core support job. Which does not affect the cars handling in way, shape or form. You would not even know if I did not tell you i.e. Its a drift car anyways and I am not going to sell it. Plus I have full coverage insurane on it

cool. just a side note, I saw a 91 240 in CAin the Trader for 3995 with 47,000 miles on it. It was at a dealership though. I ran a carfax for the #### of it, and it looked good. I figure something has to be wrong with it.. But you never know.
What about the Cams??
