My 92 240sx got broken into this morning. (parked in front of my girl's house in san gabriel near the police station on rosmead blvd and las tunas) luckily they just took my coins and my workout gloves... -_-, only security at the moment is a fuel cutoff switch. didn't look like they tried to start the car but want to get an alarm as another layer of security asap. already had 2 hondas stolen from me, (one completely stripped, the 2nd one still hasn't been found.)
i want to get a alarm with like a 1mile page radius, and looking for a good place/person that does good job alarm installation, not half assed ,stuff all the wires under the dash, micky mouse crap.
let me know if anybody knows a person or place they coudl refer me to.
THanks!

I'm also in for this, I moved down from Utah before my alarm guy could install one. I've seen places around but I zero idea on what kind of work they do.

Definitely call up Tecko MES. He's located in South Anaheim. I can personally vouch this person as he is extremely detail oriented when it comes to alarm and wire installs. He's a type who would heat-shrink the wires and hates wire taps. When he does his work, he takes his time to make sure the installation is extremely clean, making it harder for the thief to find the wires to cut.
My Celica was been broken into before, but has 2 piezo sirens where the would-be thief doesn't even want to open the glove compartment. I'm already having him do the same with my 240sx w/ backup battery, sensors, the works.

I just got my viper alarm installed by best buy. I was skeptical about getting it done there since I've read mixed reviews on them. It was actually a pleasant experience. The alarm i got has a range of about 2000-2500 ft. I would definitely go with a 1 mile range.

ahaha damn i didn't check this thread, and couldn't wait so already hit up some random guy on craigslist LOL, he did a good job though,
something was causing a short, and he found out it was a bad bulb in my courtesy light, took it out and sensors work fine. i would say he did a very good job. his brother just happened to have a white s13 coupe so he knows 240's.
he got me the VIPER 5704 (replacement for 5901) , he also installed power locks for me.
everything including the alarm, actuators, labor, added up to 300$.

I got the 2012 viper alarm with the 1 mile radius installed on my kouki for $400 down in Rancho Cucamonga; however, we had taken my bf's s13 in the week before to get his clifford 1/2 mile radius alarm installed for $300 the week before so I don't know if he "gave us a deal" or what.

I like how VIPER claims 1Mile, but it really not even close to a mile :(
