Last week I went down to RC injectors to have my injectors checked and cleaned...

I was having a starting problem and was losing fuel pressure when the car sat over night... The fuel system was losing pressure very slowly...
There are three places where I could have lost pressure and I decided to fix all three... Fuel injectors, fuel pump, or fuel pressure regulator...

I picked up a fuel pump for Deatchworks and a regulator from Autozone...
The injectors I took down to RC Fuel Injection to have them cleaned and tested...

Since our cars are all old now and I intend on keeping my car forever, I thought I would check and repair the entire fuel system at once... As well I won't have to worry for a while about a fuel problem as well when I'm at the track...

Also I wanted to know that all my injectors are flowing about the same as each other for tuning purposes...
If an injector is clogged and flowing less, then that cylinder will not have as equal a combustion as the other cylinders...

The goal is to have all 4 cylinders producing the same output...

I took pictures and video of what they recommend but this was the results of my injectors being cleaned:

One of my injectors was leaking and that is what I was suspecting... They said that it wasn't a very bad one but I believe that it was causing my starting troubles...

Now all the injectors are very close to each other...

Now on to my trip to RC Fuel Injection where they had lots of pictures of Hondas and motorcycles on the wall...
They had cutouts of injectors and serviced many different manufacturers as well as they manufacture injectors as well...
I remember learning about RC over 10 years ago when I was working with Hondas and I wanted to learn more about what goes on inside an injector...

This picture I liked a lot and I was told that this is how RC got started... Building crazy fuel injection on motorcycles back in the 70s...
In this picture, this bike was powered by two engines next to each other sharing a supercharger with custom fuel injection!...

They had a lab in the back with all the equipment...
No fuel is used but a liquid that is similar without the fire hazard...

The first thing they do is check the resistance... If the coil is bad, throw it away and get another one...

All the screens and seals are removed and replaced...

Here are their custom built machines for checking injector flow...
These have been made in house by RC and this what they have been using for years!...

The injector is placed in this holder and then attached to the of the machine...
Power connectors and fuel line is attached...

The fluid runs through the injector and fills in the container...
60 seconds(1 minute) of flow and then the measured amount is your flow rate...

In my case it was 270cc of fluid over 60 seconds... Which is 270cc/min!...

After cleaning all my injectors were within 1% flow rate of each other...

Here is a video of the flow test where you can see the spray against the walls...

Back in the fuel rail and ready to go back in!...

Thanks RC!... Now my complete fuel system has been checked...

How much did this run you? I know every application is different but I seem to have a similar starting problem.
