I think trade with Australia was free anyway on things like suspension parts. Only specific goods had tarrifs, I don't think there was a general tarrif on everything.

Whiteline suspension parts used to be a lot cheaper but the dollar has been consistantly going down relative to the Australian dollar for a couple years now.
