Ok i am new to this whole forum thing and was doing searches for my issue but couldn't find my exact issue. I was trying to fix my wifes old 1992 240SX and have been doing ok except for one issue. Even when the car is off i cannot get the right head light to cut off anyone know a fix for that. I have checked the fuse that it says got to it, but they are good. Also I am new to the mechanic thing this is going to be my first car I fix from the ground up.

I have a similar problem in my 92. I found that if I shut the lights off and then click the brights on (push the turn signal forward till it locks in place) it would stay off. Kind of an annoying thing, but whatever.
If your'e looking to fix it for good you might wanna try to replace your signal "stick" or whatever it's called.

SWITCH ASSY-LIGHTING - 240SX (S13) 1989-1994 :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com (http://www.courtesyparts.com/25160-switch-assy-lighting-240sx-s13-1989-1994-p-66410.html)
I guarantee you it will stop all of your switch related problems. I tried cleaning the contacts dozens of times and after a while they take a crap again. I have had no issues since I bought a new combo switch. Definitely try to figure other things out before this though. Check your wiring.

Lol funny thing is i found a post about how to fix the switch before i read your replys. It seem like it was going to work, but the I kept turning it and snaped the thing off so I have a new switch coming in over night and will replace it and hope it works.
