EFR 6258 catastrophic failure

This turbo lasted 12 minutes (data logger) before the turbine wheel disintegrated. Safely say it wasn't an install issue. This isn't my first rodeo.

Early production model turbo, rumor is this was a problem.

Raffi at FullRace is a good sport, helping me sort this out.
Keep you guys posted.

Garrett is aware of the issue and should have no problem warrantying the unit from what I've heard.

WTF? Only time I've seen that happen were on RB25 turbines.

Well the EFR is backordered (surprise) till lord knows when.
Ordered a GTXR 2863.
More money.

I found this through google. My EFR6258 turbine wheel also went missing this saturday!

I lasted almost 4k miles though

That's insane! So far my efr still good....fingers crossed... (got it in 2011)

Warranty replaced was just shipped.
I no longer have the car, so the New EFR will be up for sale as soon as I receive it
