Here's what I got. BTW, I told GReddy that a lot of people on this site would be interested.
Thanks for your interest in GReddy Products. We are still currently working
on the 240SX kit. However we do not have any specific data to release at
time, not boost levels, horsepower, or pricing yet. We hope to have the kit
available by mid 2002. What we can tell you is the kit will be a good bolt
on street kit, that has a lot of room for upgrading. It will probably include new cast manifold, downpipe adapter, some some sort or TD06 turbo, our FCU, and all the necessary pipes and hardware, but again this is all preliminary and it may change. Please keep in touch
with your favorite Authorized Greddy dealer for more updates.

Sounds interesting. ^_^

....no pricing.
With GReddy, all their kits don't come with intercoolers, that's why you see them listed for around $2,700. You have to get that seperately.

ahhh $2,700 =) sounds good to me...how much is decent used intercooler going for these days? or is not even worth getting a used one?

You can get Spearco intercoolers for like..I dunno, $800. Sometimes you might find some dude parting out his turbo system, so you'll run into a few deals that way. The kit with the cost of an intercooler would cost more than most turbo kits out there, but it's street legal, so cops won't harrass you about it since you've obviously have that "CARB EO" label stamped into a bunch of your parts in the turbo kit.
Whoops, my bad, the $2,700-$2,800 would be the Group Buy Center price you'd get if some vendor was offering 20%-30% off.

That is the exact same email that I got about 2 months ago. Hmmm. They better release it soon or I am going to buy a different kit.

Okay, after looking at a few pictures of their turbo kits looks like you'll need your own blow-off valve and wastegate. Then add in a turbo timer and boost controller. I just saw prices for the GReddy intercoolers, they're around $800 for a large one.

What sucks is that this turbo kit will be the only smog legal one around for us CA drivers. Thankfully this gives me the ability to go FI on my 240, but I would rather have the SR (cheaper too). The SR just isn't street legal in CA
I have heard that Motorex is looking in to making a smog legal version of the SR motor though! This would be good.

okay, what's gonna make this smog legal compared to other kits? will there be less power?

Well, gee, if only the damned smog laws weren't an ass in CA, I'm pretty sure we'd forget the stupid GReddy kit anyway. For the folks who want their cars turbocharged legally, they don't have much of a choice, which terribly sucks ass. #### CARB gustapo.

Oh my... m .. m.... Oh MY GOD!!!! A CARB LEGAL TURBO KIT!!!!! AhahahAA!!!
<---- Turns on his happy jams.
Wooot woooot!!!
I... Feel... g..g.. goosebumps.
Yes, I happen to live in California, and I'm shocked and amazed that there will be a legal turbo kit for me in the future. I don't care TOO much that it's going to be more expensive (when i get intercooler) than other kits, but at least it will be legal.
.....aaaah yes.... happy dreams tonight.

The beauty of it.....cops can't do much about it and you don't have to bother removing the kit or swapping out the engine to get it smogged.
Kekekekekeke! XD

this is what they say about the S13
"The first kit that is coming out will specifically for the 95-98 240SX.
Hopefully eventually we may make a revised kit for the older 240SX 16v.
But we still need to make sure it will all fit in the much smaller S13
engine compartment. A kit for the older model is not confirmed at this
time."

Wow, that was more of a constructive e-mail response concerning S13's than I got a couple months back when they basically told me, "It doesn't fit, we have them for S14's only at this time. THANK YUO FOR CHOOSIGN GREDDY!#@!"
