My car is a 1990 240sx its has a swapped 1995 s14 Ka24de. Previous owner did so and wasn't at all a genius. The motor is stock, Except for a 2.5 down pipe cat delete and a 2.5 full exhaust. It did pass smog 3 months ago after installing a new cat and exhaust.
The problem is:
Driving and under full exceleration, the car feels completely held back, almost like it struggling to even excelerate until 6000 rpm-7500rpm and it feel like it has all 150 hp. It also sets off a strange scent which is very strong like burning oil or fluid of some sort during and after 4500-7000rpm. now there was a small oil leak and which has covered the bottom of the engine and engine bay in oil, idk if this is connected. The car also back fires randomly when i let off the throttle.
