Im installing inner tie rods on my Y33. Hammered the shit out of the original lock plates to get acces to the tie rod and remove it. Now I figured nissan or infiniti would have this stocked but seems no one i have called have these rare locking plates stocked. I got the Moogs from rockauto and I heard they are supposed to come with them but I dint get them..

My question now is would it be safe to run without the locking plates or should I return them to rockauto. They said they would offer an exchange and make sure the locking plates are in the box.. That will be a week more downtime.

Why cant you reuse the old ones? I usually just knock them back on.

I had to remove it with a flat-head screw driver and hammer. Their pretty hammered now, I cant reuse em.

I know the tein inner tie rods dont use any locking plate but a washer. Would a locking washer work?

You don't need em. Use loc-tite.
