Hey guys i came from honda world to nissan, bought my 1998 s14 with rb25 a year ago and this car means a world to me. I would like to know some opinions please. Its not a daily driver but i use twice a week and i want to make this a fun to drive street/drift car.
So recently i got a good deal on craiglist and travel a lot of miles to buy a mint condition TE37 SL(always wanted one),it came with 30 miles hankook ventus v12 evo tires, i really like the wheel but it has an aggressive fitment, the sizes are:
Front: 18x10 +20 with 235/40/18
Rear: 18x11 +18 with 265/40/18
So to fit this ill have to spend more:
$400 with rear overfenders
$1500 with bodywork to install the overfenders
$400 to buy 2 new tires for the rear wheels because the one that came with is too beefy so i think ill have to get a 245/35/18 instead of the 265/40/18 that i have right now
$250 to buy the rear adjustable camber arm to put some negative camber to fit but i really want a 0 camber on the rear to get the best tire wear possible.
Total of $2550 not mentioning that i already spent $2600 to buy the wheels.
So i really like the wheels but do you guys think its worth spending this much to fit the wheels to the car instead of selling them for $3k and get some other set of wheels(if i go this way ill get RPF1's) and putting this money in something to the car i need like clutch/lsd/turbo manifold/garret turbo?

fuck overfenders.

You would be better off spending the money on coilovers w/camber plates, ruca, and toe rods.
You can fit it with all of the above and a minor roll and pull (if even)
Hit me up and we'll be able to help you with all of that.

Not gonna lie I love the look of overfenders but you don't really need them for this setup at all just do a nice pull like he did on the black s14 and you'll be good to go. A lot cheaper that way too then you'll have money for those other things like turbo and stuff you mentioned.

Thanks guys, so ill skip the overfender part, but what about the rear tires being to beefy? Can i fit a 245/35/18 on that wheels or it will be too stretch?
I already have a good coilovers(kw v3 that i bought from the same guy), but the next step is to buy those rucas and toe arms.

You're analyzing this way too much. Just lower the car and take advantage of rucas and give yourself about mid -3 camber and you should be okay as long as your fenders are rolled/pulled. Be sure to get a toe kit before your alignment after your drop.

I was thinking if i could get a more stretched tire i could use less neg. camber to have more tire wear due to some power slides.

i mean to have less tire wear

zero camber in the rear is best for drifting.
But if you only want to smush those tires under the fenders then roll / pull / negative camber it up.
But your car will want to straighten out during drifts with rear neg camber

Most of the cost to fit those wheels like you stated are from install of the overfenders , buy a cutting wheel and like 4 discs per side then cut it yourself , pinch the metal together and have it welded yourself or a buddy or take it to a shop theyll spot weld for a small fee , then you just rivet the overfenders (use chargespeed 50mm for best over fender fitment) then your set.
Oh and you can fit those 11s in the back with overs no probelm with that offset , my buddy fit 12s on his s14 stock metal , demon camber of course.

wheels stick out .2 inches from fender, says he needs overfenders LOLOLOL!!!!
Just like jordaninnovations said, you need to crank the camber in the front a tad, not even that much maybe just 1 degree. And the rear 1.5-2 and it's a done deal. The tires are a tad HUGE but that's just my opinion.
no over fenders but I already have an aggressive pull. with tons of body work

I could make it work with camber and stuff but I want to run wider tires and minimal camber and my car is at that point now where there is no turning back. You'd be wise to keep it as stock as possible as far as cutting metal.

I run 18x9.5 +11 and 10.5 +11 and tucks 225 and 235 40 series tires with 3~ degrees of camber. Definitely not as tall as your tires but they are federals and I hear they run bigger than other brands.
Keep the OEM metal and get help with massaging the fenders.

So right now after you installed the overfender you are running zero camber in the rear?

I have yet to install them, but I am also moving up to a 285/35/18 out back. possibly even bigger since I have an 11 inch wheel back there as well. But you always want some negative camber, I don't think I would 0 it out even if I could. Would probably save tires but suck for handling.

Thanks dude, so ill check the charge speed overfenders. But what u do to dont get rust around the rivets? So i can use zero camber with that 50mm overfender right?

So are you planning to run like ~neg.2 camber in the rear?
Whats your front wheel and tire spec? Its not touching the coilover?

Please don't put overfenders on that car! It looks great as it sits. Skinnier tire, more low, & crank dat camber. Should look really nice!

245's on an 11 inch wheel? I think those 265's would be bare minimum for me, I'm sure your traction with 265's on your rb isn't anything to brag home about as it is, let alone giving yourself even less of a contact patch.

Look around and see if somebody can pull fenders out there. Those can definitely fit under stock pulled fenders. Fronts are baby cakes.
Here's mine, rocking 18x10.5 +10 on 235/40s, they stick out 2mm further out than your 11j +18. 0* Camber and some pull...I can still pull it another inch if I need to if I really wanna slam the car.

Ok so i decided to go with narrow tire without overfenders so do you think i should go with the same 235 tires like you or 245/35/18?
So you just pulled the rear fender or you had to cut n weld it on the bodyshop?
Thanks guys i was a inch away to put them to sell, so happy ill stay with them.
