Sr20det 02 Sensor Idle Stumble Problem

Its like this; when the o2 sensor is plugged in, it idles really bad and it'll rev up and down and if it doesn't catch itself, it will die. With the o2 sensor unplugged, it'll idle okay but It has to be set to the idle around 1500-1700 revs to keep it from falling out. Any idea whats going on? This is on a 90 240sx w/ a redtop sr20det. Thanks...

Try getting a new o2 sensor. 1987 300ZX TT sensor is direct replacement.

Check your wiring. You may not even be giving the o2 sensor power. This is a common problem for do-it-yourself swappers that fuck up the wiring.

If your wiring is good and the problem persists with a new sensor you need to look elsewhere.
