Front end is a dead give away... Tail lights, Instrument cluster, power mirror switch, core support, wiper motor, window switches, divider in center console, obd2, no factory giant rear deck speaker amp, body harness differences (lights, cluster plugs), hazard light switch, no thermo amp for a/c, ecu has a different ID code on it, interior pattern is different, rear speaker deck cover is different, and no tweeters in the a-pillars. That pretty much covers everything

Everything you posted is wrong.

OP: You should worry more about improving your grammar skills and less about 14-20+ year-old money pits.

If its a legit JDM S14 Silvia than a '96 model would indeed have a kouki front.

lol
do a bit more research before you purchase anything
wiki actually does the job...haha
if you want a kouki, just get a zenki for cheap and do a conversion.

There was a mild styling update to the S14 during 1996, which added aggressive-looking projector headlamps and tinted taillights to all models. Fascias and other exterior trim pieces were also revised. The turbocharger now used a more efficient ball bearing center section. This updated version is also known as the kouki -wiki says lol

not really into conversions.

jdm koukis started in 96. usdm started in 97. the internet is your friend.

You can only tell by the model plate on the firewall.

two legit ways that i know of to tell if its a kouki
1. check the vin
or
2. the core support will have holes behind the headlights if not then its a zenki ( or the person who converted it went all out and had the whole core support replaced with a kouki one)

Vin plate is your sure answer , core support is iffy but ive rarely spotted a converted 95-96 with the kouki support.

The only way to tell that matters is to have one from the model years applicable to the Kouki S14, which someone has clearly explained in this thread.
If the OP didn’t know something that impossibly simple to grasp without posting a thread, I feel sorry for him when he runs into an ACTUAL problem

Hey, but at least he recognized it was a stupid question and stated so.
Now if we could get people to use available search facilities before asking questions they already KNOW are stupid, we’d be golden.
