First off i just wanted to say that this is my first real post. And i have searched very deeply and need some opinions.

I have a set of keihin carbs off a 89 cbr 600 and i am planning on running these on a ka24. My main concern is if they are big enough. The diameter of the throttle plates is 33mm. I thought it may be a little restrictive myself but im no expert. Then i got thinking that the factory throttle plate is 60mm so the area would be about 2800mm^2 and then the four 33's would be a good 3200mm^2. So its looking good in that aspect. I also hear these carbs are hard to set up and i was wondering if anyone on here knew what size Emulsion tubes ,Main jets and Air corrector i should need.

This is all going to be in a truck so i don't mind if its mostly torque, it will be either a 240sx ka24 or a frontier ka24. i would rather a 240 ka and convert to front sump. Then i was planning on keeping the ECU for the fuel pump, ignition, knock sensor and rev limit. it will be mainly stock i was thinking maybe a thinner head gasket/decked head to bump up compression a bit and a set of s13 cams, full exhaust etc. I am looking for mostly mid ranger power and be done making power my 6 grand maybe a little more. I'm unsure if the s13 cams would be a bad idea with the small carb size or not. and also wonder how long my intake runners should be. Does this all sounds reasonable? Thanks

I think the stock manifold is better suited for a truck... For torque...

If you wanted ITBs, I would suggest $200 for larger GSXR throttle bodies from eBay...
As close to 50mm as possible...

And look at this old resource:

Yes i could do an itb set up. But i am leaning towards the carb side. its alot simpler and cheaper. The main reasons i want to go carb its the cost, the wiring and i've been wanting an oldskool twist on this build, although that link has a ton of information. very much appreciated. I am getting the idea that the 33mm will be restrictive though
