First a little background...

I hate cold weather. Actually, I just hate cold...I don't eat ice cream, i don't play in the snow, I generally don't do anything outside but walk between my destination and my transportation from about october to march.

Ok, now that you all know that, I bought an s13 in january. I actually went outside and stuff to look over it, get all the parts, and tow it home. Ofcourse, I was rushing to get done and back inside because it was fucking cold out. Well, now its starting to warm up a little so I went out to take some better pics and work on the car a bit. While taking pics I ended up inspecting the car for the first time...rather than just the quick look-over I did when I bought it. Well, the frame is cracked and rusted all the way through...i'm taking what I can off the car and having it towed to a junk yard next week :(

So yeah, don't buy a car w/out inspecting it really well. And don't plan to buy one when the weather is bad because you know you won't inspect it as well as you should.

I'll post some pics later so you all can cringe :)
I got an ST front sway and it looks like ST rear sway also so I'm not TOO bummed about this, but still feel a little silly for not inspecting it more carefully.

I'm now looking for a nice s13 fastback, budget is $1500 but it's gota be damn nice mechanically...really looking to spend far less.

Ok, I took some pics and found some weird shit, haha.

Rear sway bar is cut to clear the drive shaft which appears to be aftermarket.

Here is the directory of pics
http://www.240motorsports.com/zilvia/projects13/

Windshield is broken, engine is shot, rusted frame front and rear, fiberglass and wood and insulation all throught the interior from sterio, rusted rocker pannel, blown rear shocks, tie rod bushings shot, tc rod bushing shot, minor clearable surface rust all over the car.

This is the list of things wrong with it. I actually knew about everything but the frame rust. Windshield, engine and suspension stuff was no big deal, the rocker pannel could have been fixed w/out too much trouble since the damage was to the rear of the seam. Interior shit would have been a PITA but wouldn't have cost any money, just time.

$150. Really $100 for the car and $50 for a new dash.
Oh, and don't bother asking for anything. All usable parts are being taken off before it gets junked except the stuff I'm too lazy to take off (like the tranny thats fine, so if you want it come get it yourself this week).

EDIT:
I'm thinking about really stripping this thing down...taking the whole suspension, wheels, brakes, engine and tranny. Anybody know of a good way to get rid of a car that doesn't roll?

I would call around for a junk yard that would take it and then have a flat bed tow it there, a flat bed can drag a non moveable car onto its bed easily.

Strip it to the shell, drain and remove the fuel system. After that, cut it into little bits with a torch. If there's a place near you where you can sell the scrap for, well, scrap, toss the fragments into a pickup truck and go get some cash. If not, pitch it in a dumpster.
