I'm looking to get a couple gauges for my Z32 and had a question or two. I have been looking at electrical boost gauges and electrical oil pressure for now. For a little over $200 I can have either an Auto Meter or Defi Racer series boost gauge. The 2 or 3 series of Auto Meter gauges I could actually stand to look at all hover around the same price, the Ultra Lites were a few bucks cheaper if I recall. I know the Auto Meter comes with it's boost sensor and I assume the Defi does.

For the oil pressure gauges, the Auto Meter full sweep electrical oil pressure gauge is about $225 and it specifically mentions it comes with the oil sender. The Defi is about $245 but no where I see them stocked does it mention whether it comes with the pressure sender or not.

I guess my question is, does anyone know if the Racer series Defi gauges come with the senders, or do they have to be purchased separately? If they come with it, I think it'd be dumb not to go with the Defis as they look MUCH better and would look like they belonged in an import where as the Autometers look like they belong in a Fox body, no matter what model you get. The reason I like the Racer series is they don't have to be controlled by a separate piece of equipment and are standalone.

Pretty sure the Defi gauges come with the senders.

And Defi gauges are nice. I'm gonna get the CR series with a white face.

I actually checked out Concept Z Performance and Z1 who sell them and their descriptions mentioned thread sizes, so it seems the Racer series do come with the senders. I think I'm going to go with the white face ones also, blue or red is just too much for my tastes.

Well the racer series has 3 diff colors for the gauges when lit up. Black when not lit up and either red blue or white when lit up.

The white face gauges CR or BR series need the defi controller to use them which is another $100+ dollars to the price of each gauge.

So you could get the racer series gauges that light up white, and them still be standalone not requiring a controller unit.

All defi gauges comes with the sender. I <3 Defi gauges...mate it to a control box to get play back options, peak, warnings, etc.
