Confused(1jz into s13)

Okay im a little confused if i get the engine and motor as a set and it comes with a 5 speed r154 trans.Do i still have to buy the 1jz bell housing ive searched and still cant find a clear answer?:aw:

If you're buying a motorset that already has an R154 then you can just use the R154 that comes with the motorset.

If you wanted to sell the R154 and downgrade to a W58, you'd need to find a W58 that has a JZ bell housing already or buy a JZ bell housing for the W58. (I believe NA MKIV Supra's and SC300 5-speeds are both W58's with JZ bell housings)

If I were you, I'd stick with the R154, it's a more robust transmission and would be less hassle in the long run.

I think i will go with the r154 it'll be a well spent $1000 lol.
