Without listening to the video, I'm gonna say upper timing chain hitting the upper and side guides.

Well I inspected the guides and one was somewhat loose and chain had slack.. so I tightened the tentioner and soound is still their. It has a new chain and guides so don't know what else it could be??

This guy's right. Most if not all 240's do that including mine. Feel the valve cover when you hear that ticking noise. You'll be able to feel the rattling. Its no big deal but if it really bothers you that much, search the forum and you should find some guides to fix it.

The tensioners work by oil pressure. Do a search on checking oil pressure.

Also know that if you used a cheap chain (like from eBay) it's going to have excessive slack.

not a ebay chain. its a oem replacement. also it doesn't "hit" on the v-cover. can't seem to find the source. also replaced the spark plugs and they had gas. what could be the cause??? bad dizzy timing ??

You young whipper snappers, driving around with the check engine light on and shit!
We used to check the codes when that happens, serious issue obd1 dude, unless cali then maybe not. That sound is probably giving the knock sensor a headache.

"it doesn't "hit" on the v-cover"
You do know that the chain hitting the valve cover is a good sign?
Bad sign would Timing cover, get a screwdriver / dowel and ask an adult to listen, and pinpoint the sound.
If it's the chain? The sound should be where the chain is, not cylinder 3! got it;)

well thanks for that "info" but I'm capable of finding out the problem myself. i just wanted the info from people that have encountered the same problem on a ka24E. not the guides not the chain only a few options left.. block needs to be inspected or my knock sensor needs to be replaced

Well, to get this thread off the trolling train. Should post a video with your car starting up, idling, and REVING. Because if it is a timing chain it shall get alot worse with more revs. Did you do the timing yourself? Did you do everything correct?
