sr20det breaking rockers

im getting sick of this problem!!!! my sr20det keeps breaking rocker arms when im up shifting 3rd gear. once thers a back fire it breaks. im running a aem ems its been tuned recently. i know for sure it the ems because this has never happened when i had a apexi D jetro. please if somone know what the main fix is to this problem please help a brother out.. thanx!!

My friend was having this exact problem with a customers car more than a few times after installing the AEM EMS.

turns out the rev limiter setup was the issue. now instead of ignition cut coming first i have fuel cut first and all is well. took it out friday night and the car ran great.

Try that out and see what happens.

so fuel before ignition? do you know the exact settings? my settings are
fuel cut 8200
ign cut7700
retard limit 7400

i got to give to you laynlow! told my tunner the info he sent me a new work map now its tachs awesome and theres no more back fire.
i also called aem tech line today and they werent sure but they said that thats a real good theory because infact the power fc doesnt have a setting for ignition cut only fuel cut.

Glad to hear that! Dont give it to me, give it to Forrest. He is the one who found that issue and got it corrected after all. Although I dont think he visits this place much.
