I have a 1995 240sx SE with the KA24DE, and I'm wondering how many o2 sensors I have in my car. Also, does anyone know of any good places to purchase these?

Thanks.

USDM S14 has OBDII(one pre-cat and one cat)
USDM S13 has OBDI

Oh, and check in the Maintenance section at www.pdm-racing.com
If you don't want to wait for shipping, go to your local Auto Parts store, I paid $32 for a Bosch o2 sensor(S13), but took it back because the country bumpkin parts guy at Autozone gave me the wrong one! My Dad was able to pick one up from a nearby Nissan Dealership for $22(but I believe he got an employee discount.)

I checked my ECU at autozone, and it gave an error on the o2 sensor on "bay 1" (that's all i remember)

Would this be the precat or cat o2 sensor? I would really like to avoid replacing both, as they're between $50-90. Thanks.

This would be pre-cat or the one sticking out of your exhaust manifold. I would suggest buying the universal bosch O2 Sensor. It will come with the O2 sensor, the heat shrink tube and instructions. Your current O2 Sensor will have the stranded core with the wire insulation. You will need to cut the spade connector off the old O2 sensor leaving about 2 to 3 inches. Strip about 1 inch of the stranded insulation and leave the core intact. Slip the heat shrink tube over the wire sticking out of the new o2 and then place the 1 inch of core from the O.E. connector you cut off into the butt connector on the end of the new O2 sensor. Crimp and pull the heat shrink tube over and heat it (if you dont have the blow gun, use a gas stove or a lighter from about 4-5 inches away and it will deform to fit). Plug it in and torque to spec. Clear the ecu (from behind the passenger kick panel) by turning your car to the accessory on mode and turning the screw counter-clockwise for 2 seconds and then back clock wise. It will blink code 33 (1,2,3..123 the first 3 would blink slow and after the pause, the number of blinks tells you the ones place number). Turn the car on and do the same again (clear the ecu as described above). Leave the car running for about 2 minutes so that the car can send the new O2 info to the ECU. You can drive so that the system will be forced to learn the O2 readings, but the light will blink everythime you rev. Turn the car off and then turn back on. It will now be completely cleared.

not all S14s are OBD II, early 95s were OBD I. The OBD I s14 still has 2 o2 sensors though. You can ditch the rear sensor and it wouldnt matter on the OBD I s14. But the OBD II s14 will freak if you ditch the rear sensor.

I thought the 95 OBD-1s still had jes one O2. I have a 97 and i know my ECU will throw a fit if i run a dump pipe since the 2nd O2 checks for the *real* cat. Anybody got any idea on how to cheat the ecu? Like anybody know the resistance on the plug so i can jes stick a resistor on the line and make the O2 think its still running good? I swear i hate Nissan ECU...

Ive seen 02 sensor simulators for camaros... i imagine you could check the resistance of the 02 sensor with the cat in the car??? I dunno, Ill stop posting now, USE THE SEARCH NEWB!

Where can I get an OBD I reading? I've checked AutoZone, Napa, O'Reily, but they only do the OBD II readings. I'd rather not go to a dealership, as I would imagine it would cost money.

Thanks.

that would probably cause it to throw a egr code.
