Okay so I've searched numerous wiring help threads and whatnot with no luck, only found one thread similar and it had 0 replies.

Basically when I turn my ignition key on, or have the car running nothing eletrical works minus the headlights illuminating and the engine will run. After I drive the car, and only a short distance, like backing out of a driveway, all the power will come back online. The wiper blades swipe once or twice, the gauges come on, exterior lighting works, dome light, etc, everything works perfectly. The power to these things will not turn off until I shut the car down. Once the motor stops running, everything is off again. Typically after I've driven it and it's warm, if I restart it and rev it once, everything comes back online again.

So basically I'm going assume it's a power or ground wire. As we work on the car I clean up every ground I find. The car has fresh battery terminal connectors, and the battery is good.

Which wire is responsible for all accesories? Theres two power feed wires minus the fat one going down to the starter/engine. Also is there a main ground that I may be missing? Is there a plug somewhere that may be corroded and needs attention I cant find? The car basically had the hood off for some time so water may have corroded something.

Car is an 94 S13 Vert, Manual Swapped, Stock KA.

Another problem I have, at all times (whether the accessory power works or not) when I click the button (up or down) for the convertible top, the relay clicks yet nothing happens. If the accesory power is functioning, the rear quarter windows will go down if I press top up OR top down. I'm going to assume someone prior to me screwed up wiring, so I'll have to look into it carefully however is there a common problem with the convertible tops? This I have yet to research about, but figure I'd ask since I'm posting a thread anyway.

thanks!
Matt

Sounds like someone didnt finish doing the wiring for the convertible top. Find a walk through for auto to manual in a vert with top wiring. Or you can do what I did and throw that shit in the dumpster. As far as the power being low and not being normal until you rev the engine is your alternator. Replace it or rev it to about 2500 after you start it each time and youll be good until you can get around to it.

I'll check the voltage comming out of the alt. Havn't had my multi meter handy when we've worked on it at my friends house. Could bea culprit to my engine running liek crap too

Your voltage regulator is probably bad.
