I have some 350z wheels on my s13. I was wondering if anyone else runs the wider wheel up front for more grip. Thanks

I hear if you run wider wheels up front you run the risk of blowing out the welds on your intake manifold. Also when you're washing your car, make sure you get up under the tires otherwise they never get clean.

wider wheels up front will cause your blinker fluid to drain more rapidly, forcing a refill before the 3000 mile regular change.

Wait... just to be clear: you're saying wider in the front and narrower in the rear?
Sell your 240 and go back to Honda world, dude.

wider wheels will track pretty bad in the road ruts... I've got a 255 up front on my dakota w/ a 255/50 and it sucks.

when you have a whole lot of spares like i do,...yes, i run the wider ones up front, usually cuz i still have 10's on in the rear, or shitty tires to burn off on the z front ones
do what makes sense obviously....lol

Nothing you've said makes sense in regard to handling. This isn't a Sentra where you need the ass end to rotate on track.

He was talking about drifting, the ass end is rotating on track.
OP: what are you talking about? drifting, autoX, drag? lol

I don't know if the op is being serious or not?

I'm pretty sure he's asking about running a square setup versus the stagger they normally come with.

i figured we were talking about drifting,..guess i could have asked what kind of driving he was doing....lol
i just meant,. if i had an arsenal to choose from, already had the rear figured out, id pick the wider z wheels to buy tires for to put up front......235's > 225's

i ran 17x8 z wheels up front with 235 40's because that's all I had for a while. I was using 205 55 16's for the rear. It's basically the same as running a 615k up front and a normal rear tire.

wider wheels up front is really common in low HP cars , corollas do it all the time

I run 17x8 all the way around stock 350z seven spoke. I run 215/45/45 because they are cheap and it's my daily and I rotate my tires with every oil change . Wider wheels work and look great it just depends what you want out of your car. Being able to rotate your rears will double almost tripple tire life in normal driving conditions. An before someone mentions crazy custom blah blah jdm wheels I about 8 sets from ame to volk.

What are you trying to do with your car??? I run 17x8 et30 all the way around so I run rears in the front I have 214/45/17 all the way around. Running wider depends on offset and how much shit your willing to hammer when it touches. People flame let them flame because they started out with low offset hella flush jdm tite style .run cheap buy new tires and become a better driver

I like how people think my response was super cereal serious...
But really though, make sure you change out that blinker fluid and replace your muffler bearings. That should definitely get the ass-end to rotate out on the FWD drivetrain of our cars.
Also, cocks.
