bought this cam second hand, and i didnt knotice the damage as i bought a whole head and was about to put it all together tonight and found that it was chipped. its not really on any of the contact surfaces but i dont know if it will throw off the balance or if sr20det cams are already off balance or what else i should worry about or not worry about,

looks like someone dropped it. Was it functioning the head you purchased? why was the head sold or taken off?

On those bc cams for the ka we have to cut that end off smooth...just cut it off smooth chamfer the edges and ride out....that isnt gunna throw anything outta balance on a sub 8500 rpm motor

If it's not cracked beyond that, i wouldn't worry too much about it. Plenty of other guys are rolling around on cams that have survived rocker toss parties, without issue.

just toss it. It could cost you more in the future if something happened because of it.
