View Full Version : Enjuku Racing - New Proto-type ISIS Exhaust
Enjuku Racing
04-26-2012, 01:56 PM
We just finished test fitting the newest proto-type exhaust got from ISIS. This thing sounds amazing!!! Nice deep tone, not to loud, looks a lot like stock. But is 3"
This is going to be an awesome quite turbo exhaust.

Will most likely be about 8-10 weeks before the first production shipment arrives.
Let us know if you have any thoughts.

Looks good, maybe tips angle up a little like the Circuit Sports did? Hows clearance with that big resonator?

It would be nice if it was matte black
Enjuku Racing

It does have a slight angle up. The look flows real nice.
No sound clips just yet. Sorry....
It tucks up under the car really nice. The front section is the same as their MBSE Exhaust.

looks good, but i wish you offered the straight pipe dual 3in axel back combined with the mbse mid pipe.
basically what im saying is straightpipes with a resonator.

I think if it doesn't drag ass all over the place and break the hangars (which could probably use some reinforcement) And sounds decent under load I would actually consider picking one up. I'm really over the single bullet style n1 exhausts on our cars, this is the first thing a cop uses as an excuse to segway into a ref ticket on our cars.
Also options for a blacked out rear muffler can with polished tips would probably be good, RSR style for people who like their parts low kei.

I agree with this^ stealth is the key! ......also any way we can get some side shots of the exhaust mounted on the car. I wanna see what the clearance is and how high it sits or hangs.....kinda worried about the clearance with that big resonator.:-/

Damn awesome I might be ordering this!!
I need this also as D1 is cracking down on semi loud cars....
Shouldn't be any clearance issues unless you're running your car at an unreasaonably low height. All the older HKS, Greddy, Apexi, Kakimoto, Silent, and Fujitsubo exhausts we have in the shop pulled off cars in Japan have that mid-pipe muffler, which makes a REALLY nice sound (even makes KAs not sound like dogshit). Looks great Ken!

04-27-2012, 06:49 AM
We are guessing the pricing will be similar to the MBSE Exhaust which is right about $300. That is just a guess right now.
The exhaust tucks up really nice. Their MBSE was one of the best fitting exhausts we have seen in years, in terms of clearance of the piping. This muffler is not at round as the MBSE and has even better clearance.
The yellow hangers on the exhaust are ISIS - *ISIS Exhaust Hanger Bushings - Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC (http://www.enjukuracing.com/products/%2AISIS-Exhaust-Hanger-Bushings.html)
As for a sound clip, i most likely will not have one for a few weeks. We had to make a few small corrections to the proto-type to make it tuck up and be spot on, so its already on the way back to ISIS for production. Sorry.
Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

You know what would be awesome? If you guys offered a mix and match service. That way we could get this mid pipe, with the 4" blast pipes as the rear section. If this is at all possible, please let me know. I know I am one of many who want to do something like this. Also do you guys sell the 4" blast pipes separately? Thanks

We have tossed that idea back and forth numerous time with them. The stocking / inventory logistic would be a pain, i think. But it is something that we need to see if we can get pushed through in some way.

It looks like they copied this design (http://forums.nicoclub.com/new-exhaust-for-the-s13-s14-240sx-t48608.html)
why because they used a dual tip muffler?
doesnt look like BRM at all to me..
http://i705.photobucket.com/albums/ww57/AZhitman/BRM/S13CatbackBRM5.jpg
http://external.enjukuracing.com/mbse2.jpg
ISIS dual tips are closer together, rendering a better look.. BRM uses a generic single in dual out magnablow muffler, intended for a single pipe to dual pipe exhaust applications.. notice how far apart the muffler tips are. GROSS..
BRM uses a small straight through resonator, which does nothing for resonation... ISIS uses basically a straight through 3" resonator, with much more interior resonance absorbtion...
also isis will be half the price of BRM, and if its anywhere near as quiet as the MBSE, it will be a HUGE seller..

You should still make them compatible. I would personally buy the whole exhaust just for the front section and connect it to my rear blast pipes. Then I could pawn off my front section and this rear in the marketplace. :s101:

If ISIS can make their exhausts interchangeable, where you can use different pipings off the the different style exhaust and mix them, that would be awesome. Get the full size pre-muffler off this exhaust, then have the blast pipes for the axle back piece. I imagine that wouldnt be too hard to do as long as the mid exhaust flange is placed at the same spot between chassis.

The MBSE and the MBSE Type-E use the same mid pipes. The GT Singles and the EP Duals (blast pipes) use the same mid pipes. However, They arent selling us just the tip sections seperately. We are trying to get them to, but no luck as of yet.
Yes, because the muffler angles up to follow the body line of the rear bumper it gets really close to the tow hook. If you have factory hangers it may move enough to hit it.

the exhaust arrives at work, and the box was damaged by UPS, one of the muffler tips was a little bit dented on the side. i was able to hammer it out and smooth it, so its not a issue, clearly a shipping error, Not enjuku/isis.

i opened the box to inspect what all is included, all nuts bolts and washers were included, as well as all gaskets needed. ready to bolt together and go straight on the car.

i couldnt help but to put it all together, to see what im working with.

First things first, i bolted it on the vert, to see how the exhaust looks on a coupe/vert...
heres the outcome.

and then for giggles i tossed it on my DD, just to see how it sounds with a stock KA w/high flow cat

I have to say it fits out further on the hatch, i think this is due to the coupe being slighty longer.
you MAY have to mod your tow hook, i didnt, but i noticed that if you moved the exhaust around enough, it coud hit back at the tow hook.. some ISIS stiff poly exhaust mounts could prove helpfull here.
on crank up, the exhaust is barely noticible (SLIGHTLY louder than stock) under light accelleration, idle, partial throttle, its barely loud enough to be uncomfortable.. under wot/accelleration it definitely wakes up, and is pretty loud. i didnt experience any drone (in comparison to a N1 style), even cruising at 3000 rpms, it was really mellow. Im extremely pleased with the exhaust, and enjuku has been MORE than helpful and accomidating with me.

If that happens, I'd be willing to give it a shot. I just cant do staight pipes anymore, I'm too old for that shit. If it can be slightly quieter than my old Buddy Club II exhaust with the GT Single premuffler, I'll be all up on it.

Chaluska, could you post a video of the sound and maybe a drive by or 2?

Any S14 updates? Need an exhaust with good ground clearance and quiet for my daily. Stock exhaust is too damn ugly.

I would also like a sound clip on an SR20DET. I have the ISIS N1 Dual exhaust I bought from Enjuku and love it. However the N1 exhaust does not fit with my 180sx Type X rear valance. This one looks like it will fit just fine.

We have sold a TON of these, so I would assume someone put it on an SR. I think it will sound amazing.. for it to sound as good as it does on the KA.

I know this is like thread revival, but I would like to know what is the weight of this exhaust. I know stock is around 25lbs.
