I was just at the dday site going over the requirements to participate in dday 13. I am cleared on everything except maybe the brakes. They work just fine; I just don't have the stiffest peddle feel. What I was wondering is how stringent are they on peddle feel. I just got my car to where I feel confident throwing it around, and I want to throw it around! :hyper: So if anyone could somehow explain how much pressure I need in the peddle that would be great. :D

P.S. I tried the FAQ fix and the brakes dragged afterwards.

you should be able to put pressure on it and feel a response....no long delays.Make it comfortable for you, but also it can't be too close to the ground. If it takes you too long to get a reaction from your brakes it is probably too low. Make sure your brake fluid is clean, and that you have AT LEAST 50% tread. Also...make sure your battery isn't going anywhere....no movment at all...this is what they are the most stringent on.

Re-bleed your brakes. And buy more fluid. DOT 3-4.

Yep, rebleed your brakes and install new brake pads (if required). Then take it down to GSpeed or CarTune and get pre-tech'd. It's better to find a problem now than later..

I had no idea that I could get pre-teched. I have pads that are still really new; front and back. I have bled the breaks several times. I can lock up the breaks if I stomp on it. It is just squishy. I am hoping to get steel lines before the event. That should firm it up some. I think I will go get pre- teched to make sure all is okay. Does it cost anything?

nope, pre-tech is free at the designated locations. If you wait until DD it cost $$$
