Give the guy a break... HE NEEDS HELP!
You are going to need a helper for this.

step 1: find vice grips
step 2: flat head screw drvier
3: pry bar

4 insert flat head between bracket and use pry bar to pull it down
5 take vice grips and give them to your helper
6 have helper beat you repeatedly with vice grips
7 have helper tell you "you are stupid"

VIOLA! PROBLEM SOLVED!

Ive used a flat head screw driver with a wide head, and a rubber mallet when doing mine, worked great.

Bitching Insulting and complaining.

Why dont you take it up to the mods to not allow any new thread to be made? Seriously, if you guys keep bitching at every new thread or post, why not just leave.. there is more posts here of people shit talking, than there is information.

TO OP :

use a pair of vice grips, and bend it all straight again. you will eventually get to the point where its straight enough that you can fit a socket on it..

ALSO, when removing the bottom 2 bolts, make sure you use a 10mm socket or wrench, not a screwdriver. a screwdriver will almost guaranteed strip out the bolt. goodluck.

On a serious note though, it's sad that people at one time felt the pinch weld area's a good spot to jack a car up. This is a really good spot to check when buying a car if you care to buy a mint car.

all californians are fucking IDIOTS (me included). havent you guys seen Shahs of Sunset? we're easily one of the worst parts of america, most definitely top 5 criteria.

It doesn't get more central in California than Fresno man, look at a map lol, it's literally in the middle both top to bottom and side to side. Bay area, Fresno, Sac, Monterrey, Bakersfield, Stockton, that shits all cen cal to me nor cal starts after the bay area, you'd have to live here to know why haha
