Alright this problem just came up recently and I'm stumped.

Wiring up a boost gauge and now my dash is acting up.

I first used the wrong wire (radio source), red/black. Led backlighting wasn't coming on so I figured out I didn't have a 12v source, re soldered it to the blue/black (grounded to under dash mount) and that's working now.

(That's when the problem started)

Now the dash clock and over head light won't come on.

I can see the back lighting for the clock come on, but no numbers. Also when I turn off the ignition the open door and ebrake lights stay on, I have to remove the neg batt cable to turn them off.

The tach works,as do the seat belt sliders. Battery and alt are new. (recently did a battery relocation but that seems to be working as normal)

On the ignition there was a problem where the key would stay locked in after turning to "off" position (would use a screw driver to push the little locking tab up to remove the key), I unclipped a small brown plug coming out of the ignition and that fixed it.. Tried plugging it back in to see if that would make a difference but it didn't do anything.

Checked ALL fuses (yes kick panel aswell) they are all good. Removed everything next to the dash itself, all wires and connections look fine an are secure, nothing found fried etc. removed my ecu and checked the upper dash connection, it hasn't budged.

Car starts/runs normal, just no clock and overhead, also it no longer beeps at me when I leave my keys in the ignition with the door open.

No radio/amp or anything like that, gauge was a basic stack wired with 18g.

Ideas??? I'm lost :(

This happened after installing the gauge? Disconnect it, see if that fixes the issue, and start over lol.

Yeah I removed everything I did with the gauge. It still works (mechanical) but there is no led backlighting. Nothing changed

Like I mentioned with the dash clock backlighting coming on, the overhead light will turn on just SUPER dim (it's led also usually nice and bright)

Edit- thanks to the PO the radio wiring was a rats nest.. I attempted to clean up the stray exposed wires flopping around, thinking maybe something was touching and shorting out but that did nothing

i was thinking a fuse too, my clock was out too and interior light, i checked all my fuses and they all looked good, i went back over them one more time and found 2 were burnt out -_- , weird how i missed them the 1st time. just double check for doubts

I just checked them the 2nd time, every google result says fuse, I'll check for a third time to be sure.

Blown fuse.

:bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

The only blown fuse ive seen was burnt and discolored, this was just a broken link in the fuse.

I'm going to disappear for a while now
