My gf got me the shift knob, tomei duracon. when i put it on the stock shifter it was pretty damn high. So i ordered a b&m ss from work. it was only $200 employee discount is awsome lol. i installed the ss in like an hour and a half. half an hour was spent under the car trying to get the 2 front bolts off, it was a pain, but once i figured how to angle the open-end it didnt take too long. putting the b&m in was easier than taking the stock off. i took it for a spin after and the first thing i notice is it whines in first. its not too loud, but you can hear it. it goes away after getting into the other gears. it places everything so close together, i love it!!

looks nice, does the b&M rattle like everyone else says it does?

sweet man ur gunna love that short shifter!! I think the rattling takes some getting used to but it never bothered me at all

you know it rattles only in first gear, but its not even noticable. when the stereo is on you dont even notice it.

Mine makes a racket... If you gun it in 1st or 2nd its loud... So I keep my hand on it and its quiet...

If you drive normal... You should never notice...

But who ever sits in my side seat is like... " What the hell was that "

yeah i remember reading some of the earlier post about the b&m's, they made lots of noise. then there was a revised version to minimize the noise, so i guess that is the one i got.

nice, i loved my b&m and still do, everyone that tries it(other 240 owners) cant believe how it feels....noise? eh who cares, car makes other noises nehow haha, never really bothered me at all..
