Just search, there's millions of threads that have already discussed everything you're asking, dont make a new thread unless there isn't an answer already somewhere on the interwebz

Both are shit unless you start stock then drop too much money into it (just being honest). Your personal opinion counts not ours. Go try each. Seriously look out though threads like this usually arent tolerated AT ALL

still gonna get locked like the others that ask the same damn question at least two times a week...and S14 have a more "centered" balance of weight so they're SLIGHTLY preferred over S13 but I've loved both S13's i've owned and I love sliding my buddy's S14....just up to you homie. anymore they're around the same damn ridiculous price...

Alright well thanks for unerstanding. Its gonna be mostly my daily driver... so open diff then right? Since I'll b street more than track?

They come either open or vlsd....I had my last one welded, and i loved it just a little risky downshifting or heel toeing in the rain and I've had cops pull me over in parking lot asking me why I was trying to burn out. lol I'm welding this daily too. If you're going to slide, weld it, if you're just gonna drive straight to work/school and back then leave it open...won't go through tires as first
drop too much money into it (just being honest).
While this is somewhat true, it sounds funny coming from an owner of a VAG product.

It's all personal preference OP, I myself started out with an s13 but longed for an s14. Soon after selling the s13 and getting an s14 (now on my 3rd s14 lol) I now really want an s13 hatchback lol. They grew on me over the years...

An s14 is going to be nicer, in better shape, and more quiet inside. S13 will be cheaper. Take your pick.

Then buy an air compressor, stick it in your trunk/hatch, and hook it up to where you can engage and disengage a locked diff like off road trucks do lol

Don't drive a 240. They are uncomfortable, and even more so as you modify them. There is no best of both worlds. Nut up, or don't play at all.
This is stupid. Threads like this not auto-locked.

You knew the thread was going to be dumb, but clicked on it, read every post, looked at every poster's age, and let your period out all in one post. Yep, age sure is relevant...

anybody not helping the OP out is a fucking moron. what the fuck is with you people thinking you are king of the badlands by saying "use the fucking search", "let me google that for you" you guys are tools and the reason our community is hated by many people online, and in the real world. If you noticed in the "questions thread" numerous questions go unanswered because someone is always answering or asking and you get lost in the thread. this way everyones shit is simply asked and answered and you can see the topic of the question in the subject. if you dont know the subject or dont want to talk about it, move onto the next thread and help someone else out with your sick knowledge. If you clicked on this thread to read and make fun of the dude then go hang yourself. seriously. its a forum not a daycare. its also hillarious that all the people commenting negatively in here are the people that dont know shit about their cars and are mostly stock and or broken which is why they have nothing good to say about anything so they sit on their ass and do this all day. everyone starts somewhere you dont know the book til you've read it. so instead of asking wikipedia or some crap, people come here to ask humans and you all act like this....
so many idiots on this forum that seriously think they are cool by talking down to new people. if it isnt for these new people our shit would die completely. we arent going to be around forever and id like to see what we have today when im 50 years old.
as for the OP's question:
i own an s13 coupe, base sr20 and i love it. ive never driven an s14 but from the sounds of it they are a bit harder to overall control. s13's imo are like the u.s. version of the ae86. everyone has one, its the beginner car, and they are easy to slide yet can be transformed into anything competetive to win. (dai yoshihara, and many other s13 drivers out there.) s14's are more expensive, parts cost is slightly higher and you have to run emissions (at least in illinois 95' and older we dont have to do emissions)

Thats funny, why would anyone consider your opinion valid when you have nothing to compare it to? You have never driven a S14 so how could you give a recommendation on which is better for the OP? You have nothing to back your justifications...
and quit complaining... If you dont like it here then leave...
which is better? go drive each fucking car and decide for yourself.
^^ This is the only answer to the OP's question
