You need to make it all usdm under the hood with all stock components and emissions.

I wouldnt think the doors have anything to do with anything. But i dont know for sure.

State of California no longer offers Blue Tag certification aka RHD inspection/legalization. Going to the Sheriff will only result in your vehicle being impounded. Sorry, if only you sought to do this 5+ years ago. Ohh wait you want to register a RHD Silvia in California ? Yeah it's just not going to happen. No, seriously, you can not register a JDM silvia. You can not register a RHD 240sx (if the dmv knows your car can be impounded and or crushed). You can not legalize an SR20DET. You can not legally convert your car to RHD in the state of California. There is no butts.

RHD cars are a pain on us roads especially in socal. blindspots. making left turns, drive thrus, fan boys hounding you LEOs knowing your car is not legit. your best bet is to buy a usdm 240, my friend did that with his tt supras. and drive the rhd car around on those plates, until you get popped and the car impounded. other then that spend your money on building a car you can enjoy and drive. most everybody is telling you its not worth the hassle to have a novelty car.

california has a requirement to register an out of state car within 31 days i believe of you becoming a resident of the state. i think military and other positions of temporary residency are exempt possibly.
