Driving shoes?

what do you guys wear to drive? daily? at the track? i usually wear my black pair of vans cause they're pretty light and have thin soles(well, maybe cause ive worn them for so long). just curious as to what other people wore cause if i dont have the right pair of shoes on, driving just isn't the same.
