i have an s14 vlsd in my car and it's leaking hardcore. what the hell am i sposed to do? get a rebuild kit or just get another vlsd? what's cheaper?

i was told it was leaking out of one of the output shafts.

i say get a new VLSD. its cheap. under 250 usually

Probably a side seal. Strange, this is the first time I've heard of one going bad. It's easy to replace, I did both of mine when I put my hsld in. I think both of the side seals were around $25. But if you don't want to do it yourself, I'd go with Dousan's idea and get another unit, then replace the seal on your current one and then sell it. But if it was me, I'd get a REAL lsd swap the guts, and replace the seals. :p

yeah.. replace the seals.. very cheap and really easy.
You can get the seals at Advance auto, or places like that for much cheaper than at nissan.

Flat head screw driver and pry it out, or a seal picker.
To Reinstall. You can lightly tap it to make sure it evenly goes in, or find a socket big enough to go over the seal and tap it in that way.
