I's currently converting a Blacktop Type X harness to accept a Redtop ECU. I have the Ignition Coilpacks all swapped to their correct locations, but I'm stuck on what to do with the Cam Angle Sensor 1 Degree wires on pins 31 and 40. A redtop has two wires for these, and the Type-X Blacktop only has one wire on pin 31; it has an empty spot on 40 where the other black wire would go. Nowhere else in the harness does it have the second black wire (even though has two whites for the Cam Angle Sensor 180 Degree wires (pins 22 and 30). My question is: Do the two white wires do the same thing since they are both labeled and colored the same, and if so, could I just make another black wire and jump it off of pin 31 so that pin 40 will have a wire? If not, what should I do?

You can leave it empty.
If. pin 31 fails for whatever reason, then wire up pin 40. do not jump/slice with pin31
If you jumper those two now and you wiring or whatever sucks and fries pin31, pin40 is fried too! No backup for joo!

I finally got it running today, and thanks for the info. I appreciate it.
