Basically as the title says, im looking around and seeing if there are any Old Skool rims that clear z-brakes, i have old skool swastika 280zx turbo rims on my car now, and was told that they might clear them, but they ar 15x6 +12, i would rather have something alittle wider and would really like 16's but doestn really matter, but im an oldskool freak so if anyone knows of anything post it please..

Thank you
~Brian~

p.s. here are the swastikas for reference..

i'd go 17's or bigger, not too many 16's will clear. but there are some. the trick is in the spokes.

I thought most 16's cleared and only some 15s would clear. Any 17" worth putting on your car will clear z brakes.

R32 GTR wheels clear. There 5X114.3 16x8 +30. They just barley clear coilovers too.

I figured they would, but heh whatever.

I say just get Q45 brakes, dont those clear just about anything

They do clear most wheels, but the problem lies within the pads. With the Z32 brake upgrade you get SUCH a wider selection of pads. This is awesome for spending time on the track. I tried to avoid doing the Z32 brake swap myself, because i didnt want to deal with the difficult selection of wheels, but its totally worth it IMO. MUCH stronger brakes, awesome selection of regular, sporty and race pads, and looks nice too! :coold:

Wow those wheels look pretty nice. HAIL DUETSCHLAND haha jk...I want a pair of 15" supra/celica wheels for mine if I could ever find any. 14" is readily availble but 15 is rare :(

why are there any wheel offsets posted in this thread? It's about brakes. Oh wait, my bad, i forgot 90% of people still think offsets have something to do with brake clearances.....

sorry to get off-topic, but is your school full of ricers who slap on an exhaust tip from the autoparts store, "queer-outs", a shopping cart wing, and a little neon light strip, and assume they are "2 Fast, 2 Furious"?? That shit drives me nuts! I swear, there are around 2 dozen of them at my school. Luckily I get out at 12:30 every day now. Last year when school would get out, they would all be in the parking lot reving up their stock ass engines and squealing the tires. :bash:

Here is a quick sample. Note the Caviler Z34 sideskirts, the misfit front bumper, and spray painted black hood. Poor nissan :wtc:

A couple of conversations I overhead at school....

"OMG dood, "name" just put an intake and exhaust on his civic, it's sooo fast, it threw me back in my seat man!"

"Dood, my car's so fast, I was doing 70MPH in 3rd gear!!!"

haha, I'm sure there are more, but I try to forget those things. Okay back to the old school wheels clearing the z-brakes...
