the map needs a dedicated source, do not T it to anything else.
The map should be installed upright, usually with the nipple facing to the earth, but it depends on the sensor.
There should be a picture of that in the Japanese manual.
The map should be in a vibration resistant setting.
The IAT is sensitive to radiated and transfer heat, there should be some kind of plastic washer around the base of the sensor to keep it away from direct contact with the aluminum of the intake plumbing.
everything else is plug and pray

Ok thanks alot! Now the IAT sensor needs to be wired to an ecu ground and I was told to splice the red wire to the exhaust temp sensor wire (pin 26) in the engine harness. Does that sound right?

What he mentioned about the map sensor is correct.
You should also synch the CAS with the PFC unit via the timing map. You can also do this manually by using a timing gun and checking signal off no.1 coilpack signal and the black diagnostic loop in the back as a cross check. Whatever is the better reading go with that. Set the timing map in all cells where the car is idling to 15 degrees then check the CAS with the light on the front of the timing cover while the car is idiling and make sure to adjust the CAS so that it shows 15 and matches up to what you entered in the cells in the timing map. If you want an actual map to get you started I might be able to help with that too. Eitherway good luck with your new EMS!
