So I've decided to do my emissions removal. My question is, can I do this while the engine is still in the car? Or is to tight of space to work in? And I the reason I'm removing it is because my egr is bad and causing bad idle. And instead of spending the money on replacing it I'd rather buy a block off plate and clean things up in the engine bay. I'll be doing it the right way with a nickel in the header port and putting a resistor in the egr temp sensor plug.

You do not need to remove the engine. You don't even need to remove the manifolds. Just pop open the hood and go for it.
Doing the EGR (and IAV) the right way would be using the Nissan plug to replace the pipe(s). Nickels work too, though.
EDIT: Part number for the plugs are "14052 - 21R00". You need two of them.
You also need about 6" of vacuum hose, and the block off plate.

thanks. also can you help me with my idle problem. When it's cold or warm it idles at like 2,000 rpms then drops to 900 and is rough, sounds like it has aggresive cams, then it jumps back up to 2,000 rpm's. I was throwing code 32 now I'm throwing only code 13 and 21
