It all boils down to the price, Salvage will always be cheaper and salvage doesn't necessarily mean damaged, I know that coz I'm selling an s14 that's salvage because it was a reconstructed vehicle(Missing Vin# on the Dash), It all comes down to whether you're willing to pay the extra $ for a clean title or not. If its for insurance purposes don't even bother with a clean title if its totaled the insurance will only pay the market value of the car they don't look at the money you spent on it. Just to give you an example why a lot of 240s have salvage title, My brother's 240 was hit in the quarter panel at a <5mph, the damage could literally be pulled out by hand, yet the body shop that the insurance refered us too gave us an estimate of $1800 to fix it (complete ripoff) Long story short, insurance company issued a salvage title, and paid my brother the full amount and he got to keep the car for free and ended up fixing the damage including all the minor dings and dents a 17 year old car would have for a grand total of $500. He's a happy owner of a free 95 240sx.

Ya there are a lot of ways a car can be salvaged and some of them are pretty lame but that's how the system works, the only thing I have a problem with is the fact that people have a stock car with 200k miles a salvaged title from a hit and want to get 7k for the car I mean really be realistic with the car I have had a lot of cars that I put my heart and soul into but because it's worth the world doesn't mean it's worth that much in reality

An $1800 dollar dent wouldn't make a car salvage, most 240 owners like this guy have some crazy story of why it's salvaged and i'm completely not buying it, and they act like their car is worth 10k. I've seen your car for the past 3 months on craigslist for like 8k and it's salvaged and just straight up mickeymouse. get real

If you have paid attention to what i wrote you would notice that i wasn't talking about my car genius, It was my brother's car that was totaled and it seems that you have no clue of how insurance companies work and why they salvage a car that's KBB'd at 2500-3000 and has damage worth "1600" according to the body shop. please do the world and yourself a favor and read before you open your mouth:picardfp: Yes you keep seeing it on craigslist coz some asshole keeps flagging my post and i have to repost it every few hours.

I hear you, I tried to price mine reasonably and I still get people bashing my price, If i were to partout the car i would probably end up getting more for it but who has the time. Everybody is after a $5000 s14 with Sr with crappy parts and put together with zipties. anyway best of luck with your search sir.

I never said anything about your car, so maybe you should read before rage typing smashing your fingers on the keyboard, not going to argue. Everyone knows what i'm talking about and the proof is in the fact your car is still not sold.
So let's hear it then, whys your car salvaged?

:bowrofl: So I take it that you were not talking about my car, and you have seen my car in person and found that it was mickey moused.
So let's hear it then, whys your car salvaged?
:picardfp:You really Don't want to read Ok here you go I'll do it for you:I know that coz I'm selling an s14 that's salvage because it was a reconstructed vehicle(Missing Vin# on the Dash)
P.S. the reason its not selling is because a lot of kids like you expect to get a properly built car for the price of a car that's held together with zipties. Anyway good luck to you with whatever you're trying to do here.
Op GL i hope you'll find what you're looking for. Good day
