I was to replace the vacumm line that runs from my valve cover to my catch can. I want lines that are SS with earls fittings. Is the small piece of pipe that is already there threaded in or are guys that at are doing it tapping the hole to give it threads?
Thanks!

That fitting can be pulled right out. The only way would be to cut off the beaded part of it and weld a screw fitting to it.

What about pulling the fitting out and tapping the whole with a thread? Or is that simply too difficult..?

yes. for my RB i knocked them out with a rubber mallet. leaves a clean hole. the hole was perfect size for a 3/8" NPT tap. tapped it and installed fittings. Easy as that!!

Or you could do that. Just figured why mess with the cover.
Beautiful engine btw.
