92 hatchback with kade
My pump is not priming when i start the car so i take it out and plug it straight from battery and it works.then check the fuel pump blue connection pigtail has no power at all so im thinking relay or ecu

I unplug the ecu and run a ground wire on plug #104 (black/purple wire) pump works and relay is clicking

Im assuming my ecu is out even thou i didnt to anything ( i did put new optima battery) to it and i dont smell any burn around

Is there any way that i can run new ground wire for the ecu? and make it as a security thingy as well ? Is this way safe? Or i do need other ecu (which sucks for my wallet)
I just need my ecu working right and my fuel pump as well.
Any help will be much appreciated thanks

did you check the fuel pump fuse.....
edit: and you can hit up a local junk yard im sure theres a couple 240's around. the pick'n'pull by my place is like 35 bux iirc.

does the car start/run fine?
edit: is there power to fuse. If the fuse is good check power at the fuel pump. If power is good there your pump is probably bad. if not could be your ecu.
dont take my word on it though. i remember reading it somewhere.

my old s13 had a wire running from the power wire on the pump to a wire that gets "hot" (gets power) when the key is turned to accessory.
never really figured out why previous owner did that..
