Hello everyone. Just have a quick question. I have in my possession 8 sti injectors (of which I will eventually sell 4 and keep 4), but one of those sets are missing a black cap that is right on top. What are they called/do I need them/can I get them from my stock SR's when I replace them? They may be called insulators? Thanks in advance.

Here is a picture of the missing cap right on top.

Here is a circle around my other set with the black top cap.

I just looked at mine and I never noticed them before. haha. I always thought that was open for fuel to go in. I've never seen that cap on KA injectors.

Yeah when I noticed them I was confused. Wondered what they were or if they were necessary. I still have no idea what they are. So do u have injectors with them or without them?

Mine have them. I would call a dealer or get on a STi forum and ask around.

Thanks guys. So you just threw them with those plug things right into you're fuel rail? I kept searching and it seems like they are spacers of some sorts. Do you guys have SR's or KA's? I also read on KA-T that someone had sent theirs out to deatschworks and they removed those caps for his KA fuel rail.

You can put them in the rail you just take out the little spacer things the OEM ones use. I had issues with the clips. Just took pigtails off a legacy

Yeah thats what I was thinking. If the stock one's have those spacers I was just going to reuse them. Did you repin them? I have the pigtails too, I was just going to try to repin them instead of cutting and soldering.

No way you could repin the plugs I have just soldered them in

Just solder them in. I plan to make a clip just in case

I have the clips. I may as well try to depin and repin them first. I am more worried about those spacer/caps. Thanks for all the info.

Ok talked to Witchunters and they said the caps were unnecessary. And on another note I found the caps burried in the box. Lol so this can be locked up.
