http://www.mazdarevitup.com/home/f_default.asp

we're gunna be driving 3's for the most part, instead of the 6's which they featured last year. But I also noticed in the website, the RX8's are now avaible for the test drive section;) :D

It use to be free to drive at one of those events, but I guess $40 isn't a bad price to pay for some track time.

Test Drive section: variety of cars, unlimited runs.

Competition section is sort of like an auto-x thing:
-Timed competition course, 1 lap, 2 runs max
-Timed practice course, 1 lap, 2 runs max
-A few other technique (braking, weaving, etc) courses, unlimited runs

I went for the test drives only last yr. That was unlimited but had a lotta ppl in line.
So when u pay for the competition thing, u get unlimited runs too?

Im interested because they dont let u drive as hard on the test drives. It would be sweet to mash on the car all day without getting told not to squeal tires "or else the event will be shut down"...

I drove the test drive cars pretty hard last time around, they never complained to me. Maybe I just got some guy who didn't care, haha.
From what I remeber you just get 2 timed runs, 2 times though a pracitce course(not sure if they are doing that again this year), the only things I know of that are unlimited are the driving school thingies and the test drives

O yeh, thats wut I was wondering, the "driving school thingies" :) So the slalom and braking practice are unlimited right? I remember standing in line for test driving and hearing ppl slamming on the brakes and squealing tires so much... i wanted to do that!

And yeh, they got really strict later on in the day. The attendant guy said to have fun, but dont try to be the fastest. One guy skidded and he was pulled aside and got a black mark on his name tag.
