I have re-built a few sr20det turbo's now, and each time I have done this I had to use a 45 degree pair of needle nose pliers by grinding down the tips to fit. This usually takes a while and they end up breaking eventually so I was wondering, what do you guys use/recommend? Is there something out there off the shelf that makes it easier to remove those turbo or bov flange snap rings?
Thanks in advance,
Eric

Gearwrench makes/sells snap ring pliers that I've used to remove turbo snap rings fairly easily.
The tips on them are changeable, so you can put 90 degree tips on them etc.
They look like this, and you can get them for internal or external snap rings.

I bought my set (internal and external) for around $50 if I remember correctly.
