while browsing mcmastercarr.com, i found these:

is it just me or are those pillowball tie rod ends?? the only question is stregnth, and obviously if they carry the correct thread. so can someone with an FSM tell me the thread for an S13 and S14 tie rod?
if they carry the correct size, ill order a pair, check them out, and if them seem sturdy, give them a test.
and theyre really cheap, like $20 a piece.

Check the FSM under the Tech (http://www.zilvia.net/faq/faqs.asp) section of the main page. Just dl the CA18 S13 FSM. I would assume they would be the same as here.

regular tie rods are basically just that...a ball in a socket...all metal. the only difference is that they have a bunch of circlips and theres a big rubber gasket on there to keep the grease in.
This has nothing to hold the grease in. They will wear FAST.

so do Kazama tie rod ends wear out really quickly too?? seems like these are basically the same.

not sure...i don't have them. perhaps they use a sealed bearing or something. frequently, however, racing parts are designed to be used/abused/replaced. for instance, wilwood brakes don't have dust seals. they are designed to be rebuilt at least once a season...usually more than that.

Moog is the same as Beck Arnley and some other brand I can't remember right now. You can find them easily at your local auto parts store.
Just giving you a head's up before you order them from pdm racing or something...
