ok after all i my searching for an alignment shop that does lowered cars, ive come to conclusion that west end alignment is obviously the place to go to.

so then i asked my friend if he went there, he said yes and told me darren is not a fan of "slammed" cars, that he is more of a function over form guy and will probably not align my car, which is kind of peculiar. because my friend said hes been there, it makes what he says believable but from the feedback ive read, it seems my car would not be a problem.

is this true? will darren not do my car because im "slammed" ?

my car is aero-less, stock metal, on stance gr+ coils, 1 pair of front collars removed, about half of an inch of lowering left on my rear coils. the lowest point of my car is my catalytic, that has ground clearance of 5 cent coin. scraping road reflectors.

heres some pics for you guys to get an idea, and if guys that have been there with lower cars than mine to let me know.

thanks in advance.

Song's alignment in Hawthorne talk to Marco.

If it is so, what u claim. If you don't have roll center correction mods, then take it to a regular shop?

He did my car and Im probably lower than you, if not same. Stock pignose with lip, Chuki side skirts and Bomax rear. In fact you can look at my rides pic and you'll see my car after the alignment. You can also go to auto toys or whatever they're called out in OC, they've done my car too

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Not saying you or your friend but if a business doesn't provide service because of a bias then fuk them - go somewhere else. Now, I could understand if they don't work on slammed cars for OTHER technical reasons - that would make sense. Either case call or take your car there to find out. I guarantee that's better than asking people here. Don't forget to post what you find out.

AWESOME Silvia, BTW!

I've been to West End and they do alignments for lowered cars. However, he probably got them when they are in a bad mood because they do get instances of the customer "tries" to sue the shop for damages, which I know happened commonly to alignment shops I know.

auto toys closed down.

Drift Speed in Los Alamitos does alignments for lowered cars. ArticDragon192's Z32 has been aligned there a few times as well as my car and many other lowered cars. They are very reputable also.

I have heard great things about West End too, I am sure he will do the alignment, but he will probably tell you that you and all other people who slam cars are hurting your cars suspension and handling for looks, which is what you want. Meanwhile most people who like racing, prefer function over form, which usually leaves a gap in the fender of about an inch. because you want the suspension geometry to be working properly while racing. and they have a shit ton of different modifications you can do to get low and keep the geometry, but at the height you are at...your probably not gonna hit the race track, so just go get your car aligned at wherever they can do it without having to take your bumper off.

ive been going to west end for alignments for the past two years and never had a problem with being "slammed". i think the only thing is they have a zero tolerance for ppl who are late for their appointment.... best thing is to go check em out, i dont think youll be disappointed

he hated doing my slammed 240 lol

that was when he worked alone though.

it was a pain lifting my car up with this on rack jacks since he had no room for it to rotate lol, but he got it done anyways.

you can always go to 714tires but idk if they adjust aftermarket arms yet, but either then that, yeah West End has been and only shop I've gone too, next I'm going to try my tire retailer in Temple City or try out DriftSpeed, so how much did it cost for your alignment?

Driftspeed...Quoc is the shit.
$160...spent three hours after I installed all aftermarket arms, rucas, toe, traction, FLCA, tension. (completely out of whack)

I could have done the alignment myself, it would take a whole day. the camber in the rear started at 5 degrees lol.

So $160 for a 4 wheel alignment?

02-23-2012, 04:09 PM
$160?
Crap I'm gladi get all the bells and whistles for half that

i only paid 110, just got my camber, caster, and toe aligned.

my car was wrecked, completely new arms. Its not like it was a normal alignment that all you have to do is put it back to spec, mine was faaaar from off. Even my caster on both sides was off, and I had crazy toe out in the front from installing rack spacers.

Normal alignment is 110 and should only take an hour.... ;D

i got my alignment done at driftspeed for $80 but i didnt have any arms. although i do know it costs more than $100 depending on how many arms they have to adjust.

Why wouldn't you just go and ask the dude who does them..

I'm sure he'd be cool though, with such a cool name and all

Likei said take it here for the best and cheapest service you can get with or without every arm in the book he can take care of you. He does installs as well?

If he can align 8sec drag cars and if mags like deport and project car take cars to him I think he knows what he is doing
