Alright, I bought my '97 kouki about a month ago, check engine lights on, the guy told me it was the 02 sensors, went and had it checked and it was code 130 and 140, so he was right.
Yesterday and today the car got really bad, sputtering and what not, I gotta drive it cause I have to go to work and such, so I just went to start it, got to the bottom of my subdavision and it died. It wont start what so ever, cranks fine but will not start. You think thats an 02 sensor problem? If so can any elobarate more on what those codes mean? Any help will be appriciated!

I'm not familiar with those numbers. Have you checked the codes on the ecu?

No I havent, but there p0130 and p0140. Which after doing a shit ton of searching seems to be upper 02 and lower 02 and somthing about a closed loop system.
I really cant find anything on any of this!

I doubt the o2 will cause the car to shut off...gotta be something else other than that. Is it cranking over at all or is it dead?

It cranks just fine. I was thinking the same thing but I have no idea what it is. Went out this morning and tried it and nothing.
Thursday and friday, it was starting to sputter pretty bad, like if I would lay into it at all it just really wouldnt move and sputter.

I bet it was just a fuse and he started a pointless thread before doing some actual research on the car itself

Totally bro. Edited cause I dont wanna make you cry.
Replaced the 02's and got a new distrubter and it fixed the problem, it was a combination of both.

Sounds like it needs a full tune up as it is. It would probably be a good idea to run some new plugs, plug wires, distributor cap/rotor, fuel filter and a can of Seafoam mixed in with a full tank of gas for good measure.

Yeah that's the plan, just havent really had time yet. The motor pulls strong as hell, doesnt leak anything, and its pretty clean. Which is weird, first 240 ive had that doesnt do any of that, but im pretty sure the motors been out and been rebuilt.
