shit sounds like you got some cash to burn. about the plugs, i'm a turbo noob, but won't something like denso iridiums give him better performance ? like i said, i don't know for certain so if i'm corrected then so be it.

what about engine management and dyno tuning?

Could you please elaborate on engine management? I'm kind of a newb too I guess. But I have dyno time set up as well.

I think before you think about upgrading the injectors, maf those things, get a cat back system.

ooops, sorry. Haha.. how much horse power are you looking for though?

At first I really don't know, at least 250 rwhp, possibly near 300. After the new turbo though around 350 rwhp.

just wondering how old u are.....cuz u have some big pockets....then like engine management is tuning and stuff.....depending on where u live find out where there is a dyno tune shop that works on your motor and go there but i beleive u need a piggy back ecu like greddy emanage or apexi powerfc since you have the money find out which is the best for what u have and are getting....tuning is one of the best mods you can get

I'm in fact 19 and a Freshman in college, but I've worked since 14 and have used my money well to get this, I just sold my 2000 BMW 323Ci to build this car. So yeah, I have the money, and I'm investing what I have left over to make more. :) It's a lot easier to make money when you have money. I got lucky too when I was 13 and hit by a drunk driver, got a 10k insurance settlement, and was just allowed to get that out of a federal bank acct., also investing that.

sounds like a friend of mine, except he put his into a S2000, and TODA.

now, if say I had 10k lying around, I would...

-strip the chassis bare, have it cleaned and repainted (to rid of rust)
-have the strut mounts seam welded, as well as the trunk and under door areas
-buy some nice coilovers,
-buy all suspension arms available
-get a set of Tanabe sway bars,
-Endless or Alcon brake system
-full M Sport kit with front and rear fenders
-2 sets of wheels (8)
-rebuild the KA with rods, pistons, balanced crank, and stout head.
-cryogenically treat the tranny, and block
-coat the piston dome and skirt with high temp coatings from Swain Tech
-build custom turbo kit for 250hp, super fast spooling
-two diffs loaded with KAzz 2way ready to go
..
.
maybe even look into a cantelever rear suspension, and a-arm front... hehehe... yeah it's more like 20k now.

ok, I'm tired of typing now... there's so much more I want... :wtc:

I'm going to pinch myself and wake up now.

dam youuu =P, why couldn't that truck that hit me give me even a 3rd of that 10k. errrr. Anyway, nice setup your plan on doing. Also, I thought E-manage and Power FC were complete ECU's not piggy backs. Could be wrong, but it says it gives you a complete new ecu that is tunable with a electronic device on the website.

Looked over you list a 2nd time, did you list LSD or an upgraded LSD if you have one already?
If your making that much power, good idea to get the most traction out of it and not just let the power just slip.

Things add up... grrr. Here's the updated list, all professional and stuff hehe. I'm planning on running 14 psi on the stock air/fuel system with no af controller. Then later I'll upgrade those and the turbo.

I've read on FA that several ppl think the AVC-R isn't a good EBC. I've also read that the Greddy Profec B is a great boost controler. I think uiuc also has just got a manual boost controler and he loves it. All of this is just by me reading though, and I have no actual experience with any of them.

For fans, if you get the stock shroud and fan use that. If not ppl like the Flex-a-Lite fans. Phase 2 motortrend has them.

A little thing I saw on Raretrick.com that I thought would be kinda good on an SR is a water pump pulleys. They make the water pump flow more. It might be worth while to check it out.

For spark plugs I would say just use the NGK's. Denso's are good and all but for the price the money can be better spent elsewhere. This, I know about. I'm running Iridiums on my stock KA. They help but I think it was due to the old ones having carbon buildup on them. Oh, and I got them for free.:D

As for the downpipe just pick a company. I think it's Blitz that makes one with a "slight restriction", to quote someone. I think it might be a venturi, but if that would help increase velocity in a turbo system or just create more backpressure, I don't know.

Make sure to check all vacuum lines and such too. Just try not to overlook anything and all should go well.

Heheh :D  Yeah, I love it. Reliable, easy to install/setup, doesn't spike, works great. I would buy it again in a second. I think the only reason I would get an EBC is if there was nothing left to spend money on and I really wanted some more ICE in my interior. Otherwise, go cheap, get the MBC, and spend the $$$$ you save on other go fast/handle sweet parts.

Also, there are no solenoids to go bad/stick open. I was scared of that with the EBC's. I mean, if something shorts out, you could get full boost for no reason. Or what if someone "adjusts" the boost without you knowing?

e manage does NOT give youa new ECU it is a piggy back system. the PFC is basically a standalone system. plug and play new ecu tune for anything. go search FA in the advance section.. its still towards the top there is a good write up comparison between them.

but if you go that route drop the SAFC II off the list. its fine for running the 555cc and the 300mafs though. for mild tuning and such its fine but when you get serious you'll want to step up to the PFC.
