I'm looking to replace all coolant/heater hoses this winter with new ones on my RB20DET. Does anyone know if the RB25DET coolant hoses will fit/work on the RB20DET?
or where I can buy a coolant hose kit for the RB20DET?
Or if its just easier to make your own? like go to a store and try and match some up!
thanks guys need asap

hey i know this is a little late, but i just bought new heater core hoses that are OEM rb20 hoses off raw brokerage. they were about $60. if your looking for some good radiator hoses, isis sells a set of radiator hoses that are actually made for an rb20 into s13 swap for $55

ya i bought some from Feast auto from Japan paid around $90 shipped but i got 2 extra ones I wanted. And I ordered replacement OEM rad hoses from Nissan cost me $17 for lower rad hose and $23 for upper. Good deal if you ask me. PS the Thermostat for RB20DET is the same as a 2003-2005 Nissan Frontier 3.3 supercharged. $22.50 for the thermostat :)

you have to be careful with those hoses though.. the problem with them is that the oem upper hose for the rb20 is longer, so youll have to cut it to make it fit into your s13. and as for the bottom hose, where the hose goes onto the motor, it has a bigger opening, but on the radiator for the s13 its smaller. but cool thanks for the info on the thermo!

I got my heater hoses from rawbrokerage. As I'm sure you know it sucks getting to them. I also bought my radiator hoses from rawbrokerage. You pay more but it was less headache then trying to match stuff up.

To change them you just need to be able to get your hands in there under the intake and get to the clamps. After i got my clamps off I slit the hose with a razer so they come off easy. Mine where pretty stuck. Then its just opposite of taking them off. I found getting both hoses on under the intake first was easier than putting them on at the heater core side first.

I removed my intake manifold because I had a custom made intake manifold made so It was removed anyways. Other then that you just replace the hoses.

Okay cool. Cause my rb sits in my 91 s13 hatch. So basically if I can get the old ones cut off then sliding the new ones on is the easy part?

Honestly it wasent too bad. My back hurt more than anything. My wife thought my arms were stuck cause I was just laying on my intake lol. Its more of a feeling around type thing to get to the clamps. You cant really see much under the intake. Maybe get a buddy to get under the car to help. He just may get showered down in radiator fluid. But once its done you'll have a better piece of mind.

Yes, Canada has the 15 year rule. and now its getting hard to find insurance if you're under 25. But my company is grandfathering me even though they don't except new RHD cars. and thanks my buddy has a lot of hours into that intake manifold . I'll post pics when its complete.
