Searching yielded me no results. I finally have my SR20 back in and can't get it to turn over. It cranks really slow. Threw a breaker bar on the crank and turned it by hand and it was pretty difficult to turn. After some trial and error I took the starter out and it turns just fine. There were steel shavings on the starter, im guessing from the flywheel. I don't know what the deal is with it. The only thing I can think of is that metal plate that goes between the engine and trans. Mine got kinda mangled so I didn't put it back in.I really don't want to finagle that stupid plate back in there. So does the starter need to be spaced or what? any input? Im ready to get this thing going.
Thanks
